Natural ways to improve cholesterol
Here are some easy, natural ways to improve your cholesterol:
Reduce sugars and ultra-processed foods and other flour-based foods
Reduce red meat and fried foods
Increase tree nut consumption (walnuts, cashews, almonds, macadamias, etc)
Increase healthy vegetable intake, with some fruit as well
Increase healthy fats (olive oil, avocados, olives, SMASH fish - salmon, mackerel, anchovies, sardines, herring)
Ensure you are getting adequate cardiovascular exercise (at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per week)
Add garlic to food (when it will taste good!)
Consider adding a psyllium fiber supplement, starting with at least 2-3g daily of added fiber and increasing as tolerated
